ABOUT

We offer after-school tutoring and child care for students with moderate-severe disabilities ranging from Autism to Visual Impairments.

The executive director, Julie Tilney-Varden,  has been a special education teacher for over 15 years, working exclusively with the moderate to severe population.

We at PALS Club, believe that each child is unique and can learn when the right environment and techniques are used. Our activities promote self-help, advocacy, personal growth, and self esteem.

The activities the children are involved in vary from academic (basic reading and math), to life skills (reading menus, telling time), to job and social skills (filling out an application, learning to use a cell phone/computer), along with time to relax and have fun.

The time spent is structured but flexible.  Children are nurtured and well-supervised at all times with a low staff to student ratio.

All staff are highly trained and have been fingerprinted and given a full background check.  Your child is safe with us and it is our pleasure to spend time with them and we treat them (and you!) like family.

Our philosophy is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for all students, regardless of ability or disability,  to flourish and thrive.  We are committed to care for each child as an individual.

Our program is founded on Christian principles of love, compassion, and sacrifice.  We ask God to bless our children and their families.

Please don't hesitate to call or drop by anytime during our open hours.  We love visitors!
